'Myohyang' is a pure mix of field recordings in the Myohyang Mountains in North Korea, in the morning of Sept 21st 2017.
Standing on the balcony of the bombastic Hyangsan Hotel the early morning began with trucks and busses coming along. Later we visited a kindergarten and could listen to a Buddhistic morning ritual in a historic temple. On the way we stopped for a rest where a very loud, single cicada made an almost electronic sound.
North Korea is a very unknown and weird country - and most people out of this isolated country can't have any direct impressions. The pure sounds give an audible glimpse into the country, far away from progaganda sounds, no artificial transformations were added, just a morning in everyday live.
