Matinale Caribéenne belongs to a series of dream-like compositions with sounds field recorded during two stays in 2012 on the north coast of Honduras, by the Caribbean Sea, its mangrove and tropical forests. There, I stayed some times in a small house set on a beach (La Playa Escondida that means the hidden beach) not far from Triunfo De la Cruz. Every early morning I was awake by exotic birds singing out loud. Then I was remembering where I was. Bird calls were inviting me to fully awake, but the sounds of the surf from the sea was inspiring me the opposite. My eyes half opened I was listening to these concerts while looking at the first lights of the day dancing on the mosquitos net around me. I miss so much now this vivid alarm clock.
Editing and mixing by Frédéric Nogray at Studio No*Mad, 2016-2017.
Thank you very much Marcella Perdomo.

is a self-taught musician, improviser and composer living in Paris. He pays a particular attention on sounds in their intrinsic qualities and for what they are: vibratory phenomenon. He is interested on the various states of consciousness induced by listening, Listening as a way of composing. His musical practice leads him to collaborate with different artists. In live concerts and for studio compositions he plays with crystal singing bowls, with several electronic and electro-acoustic devices, and with anything that could give birth to any sound.
