I recorded the sounds of the Las Vegas Strip in 2008 and 2010. The piece presented here is a montage of several sound moments, as many "clichés" inside and outside, which illustrate a fast, alternating quiet and noisy journey. The Las Vegas Strip is both a magical place comparable to an amusement park and also equally squalid. Extreme poverty and destitution rub shoulders with the wealth of players slamming fortunes in casinos. It is just as much a peaceful and extremely noisy place where, despite an omnipresent crowd, one can feel completely isolated. It is also a theatrical place, of shows but also of nostalgia and history. 

Finally, it is one of those places in the world where time is bracketed, ignored, confused in one single moment, like a paradoxical mix between a night of festivity and a peaceful morning.

« Unenthüllte » is born in 2007.
(to understand the meaning of this name, I invite you to read the fabulous Theodore Roszak’s novel « Flickr »)

So, in dilettante, I build soundscapes by mixing several techniques like field-recording, digital audio processing and sampling ; also various style such as acousmatic, ambient or drone music.

[From 2008 to 2012, I had the opportunity to present concerts as part of « Le Placard » festival organized by the « Center for digital cultures and technology » (IMAL) of Brussels.
In 2009, I’ve participated to the collaborative IMPRONET project. An online improvisation initiated by Anton Mobin, on Arte Creative.
In 2012, Unenthüllte has composed some resonant ambiences for the Pascal Blondiau’s book « Dès l’Instant », a very beautiful poetic prose work published at « Carnet du Dessert de Lune »
In 2016, Unenthüllte has published a experimental video game, a « walking simulator » called IntraMuros.]
