The Berkeley River flows into the Timor Sea, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
I was fortunate to be among the first visitors to return to this remote location accessible only after the wet season by sea or air.
Consisting of massive red escarpments, a lacework of beaches and pockets of tropical rainforests abundant with wildlife. Nature is the overwhelming element and focus of my recording, capturing both image and audio of a rapidly approaching rain event.
My creative intent is to share my experience of this natural space, the sound of the rain falling onto the Tadarida Scarp, pooling together and finding its way to the sea accompanied by the calls of exotic birds echoing across this vast landscape.
The traditional owners of the land are the indigenous Australian Miwa people.

I explore various forms of creative media and experiment with sound, word and image. My works are experimental and based on an emotive response to the things that I am exposed to … visuals, sounds, ideas, collaborations. I am open to new technologies and manipulating captures, both images and audio to enhance my creative vision. Travelling to remote places is my passion, the art of being one to one with nature. I have worked in the creative fields of art and design, technical design and fine art. Based in Australia, I am currently researching online collaboration.
