~ Bijao ~ Panama ~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The recordings presented here are part of my experience in the touristic complex of Bijao in Panama on January of 2013.
The tension between the ecosystem and the intrusive architecture there was evident and this environmental contrast, and the subjacent anthropological and biological implications became the focus of my artistic interest.
This was not about an ideal natural environment, but about an actual environment and how it could reflect questions of my interest. These recordings are about a hybrid habitat and the way the animals adapt their acoustic behaviour to the sounds of humans when they become part of their their environment.
